Experience/ Testimonials
I began teaching during my NS days for extra income. However, this quickly turned into a love affair with the profession and I have been teaching English and History ever since. I first started some four years ago with upper primary and lower secondary students who needed help with their English. I believed that with enough explanation and practice, their grades would naturally improve. However, while their grades did improve, I realised that something was missing from their experience. That "something" is what I term "Life Lessons". As I gradually moved on to teach the upper secondary and JC levels, I became immensely interested in imparting life skills and experiences to the youngsters that I taught. I began taking courses relevant to a multitude of disciplines in my university. I also took up an immersion module in Singapore's social issues titled "Singapore Society". Through my own learning, I gradually began to teach essential lessons not only about English and General Paper, but also about living and excelling in life. Through this, I hope that every child that goes through my teaching method will grow up to be a more balanced, reasoned individual with an awareness of what is going on around him in society.
